Media Manipulator is a free online media converter, editor, transcriber, and metadata inspector for images, videos, and audio files. It is built and operated by CreaTV Ltd. and runs entirely on infrastructure we own — including a dedicated GPU server for AI features — so your files never leave systems we control.

Our Mission

We started Media Manipulator because most "free media converter" sites are slow, upsell aggressively, paywall basic features behind sign-ups, send your files to third-party AI providers, or quietly retain uploads indefinitely. We wanted a free file converter online that you can trust: open in a browser, drop in a file, pick a setting, get a usable result. No account required, no software to install, no permanent storage of your media.

We treat conversion, editing, compression, transcription, summarization, and metadata management as one connected workflow rather than ten separate websites. If you want to compress an MP4 for the web, then trim it, generate VTT captions, and finally strip EXIF metadata from the thumbnail you'll publish alongside it — that's three different sites for most people and a single tab for Media Manipulator users.

Under the hood we run FFmpeg, ImageMagick, and gifsicle for standard pipelines and purpose-built models (Real-ESRGAN, BiRefNet, Demucs, DeepFilterNet, whisper-ctranslate2, exiftool, rembg, simple-lama-inpainting) for everything else. Bitrate, codec, quality, channel layout, color space, GIF palette size and frame delay — every setting that matters to power users is exposed in the UI.

Nothing to download, nothing to install, nothing to update. Media Manipulator runs in any modern browser on desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone, and large video uploads use direct-to-S3 presigned URLs so the upload step doesn't choke on slower connections.

We're a small team, which is exactly why we built Media Manipulator the way we did: we don't want to babysit a fleet of third-party AI integrations, we don't want to store your files indefinitely, and we don't want to operate ten separate single-purpose converter sites. One studio, one place files live for at most 24 hours, one GPU server doing the heavy lifting.
